Speaking to our media team yesterday after the evening training session, Oscar Osir, who has been working with the boys for the past 2 months exuded confidence in the preparations:
It has been an interesting 60+ days with the boys. We have been able to work on areas that were problematic on an individual and team level. We can see transformation in the boys’ bodies. The morning gym sessions have been influential as well. In addition to the physical work, we have also been working on their mental skills.
In answering to leadership within the playing unit, Osir had this to reveal:
Our captain this year will be Leon Adongo who requires no introduction. His involvement with the long and short versions of the sport at national and club level is quintessential to him leading the Gazelles to glory this year. Adongo’s assistants are Samuel Motari & George Okowa.
The Impala Saracens media yesterday released pictures of Ian Minjire who makes a comeback from an injury that kept him out most of last season & Lameck Dunde who was captain last year.
