Brendan Venter visits Impala Saracens in Nairobi
Former Springbok and Rugby World Cup 1995 winner Brendan Venter will be visiting Resolution Impala Saracens from the 15th to 18th February 2014. The 17 Cap Springbok, a qualified and practising Medical Doctor is currently the Technical Director at Saracens. Brendan’s rugby knowledge and experience is second to none. As a player he lifted the ultimate prize in rugby winning the RWC and as a coach he has won both the English Premiership with Saracens and the Currie Cup in South Africa with the Sharks.
Brendan will be at the Club under the partnership agreement that enabled Resolution Impala Saracens join the Saracens Global Network. Under the terms of the partnership, Resolution Impala Saracens enjoys a huge mix of technical and commercial opportunities sourced through the Network. These include a clear pathway for its players to play professional rugby, sharing of technical resources and joint procurement.
Under the technical component of the partnership, Venter’s is the second technical visit after Owain Davies, Sports Development Manager – Education, Training and Inclusion and a certified IRB Coach Level III Coach spent time with the team during the December league break.
While in the Country, Brendan will meet the Resolution Impala Saracens technical team and consult on existing programmes and watch the Resolution Impala Saracens vs Western Bulls game this Saturday. He will also represent Saracens (UK) at the Saracens Global Network partnership launch on Tuesday 18th February at Impala Club.
