Sammy Oliech was first to score in the corner. Onsomu’s attempt at converting went short. Paul Mutsami, who missed out of the Christies leg of the 2017 NSC blew apart Webuye defence to score but the resultant conversion attempt by Kwemoi went short. Kwemoi would however redeem himself a minute later, picking up an offload from Sammy Oliech and coasted to the try-box. He converted nicely for a 17-0 half-time scoreline.
Samson Onsomu & Timothy Makiya penned their names on the scorers’ register in quick succession. While Oliech had it easy converting Onsomu’s, his attempt at finding the posts after Makiya’s went wide. Overall NSC 2017 captain – Leon Adongo, who just came back to active competition re-awakened his racing boots. After a smooth pass from George Okowa, he looked his opponent into the eye, drew him in and jolted out into the 15. He quickly dropped a gear and disappeared. Kwemoi converted to close the match.
FT: Resolution Impala Saracens 36-0 Webuye RFC
Resolution Impala Saracens 7s Head Coach – Osula Osir
I am happy with the result. Webuye were beautiful with their passes and speed, but we managed to contain them. You always expect such teams to come hard at us. The pooling reshuffle will obviously affect the end result this weekend but at Impala, we play what is ahead of us. We never get to dictate who we play.
