KCB and Impala Saracens set up a repeat of last year’s final after beating Homeboyz 34-10 in the second semifinal of The Blaze Sponsored Impala Rugby Floodlit on Saturday October 20, 2018.
KCB won the 2017 Floodies beating Impala 18-17 and went ahead to win the Kenya Cup unbeaten.
The bankers were too good for the Deejayz managing to run in four tries, two penalties and four conversions against Homeboyz’s two unconverted tries.
Darwin Mukidza’s opening back to back tries were followed by tries from Martin Owilah, Ahmed Shaban, Stafford Abeka and Peter Kilonzo with Shaban converting three and Isaac Njoroge one.
Steve ‘Security’ Otieno bagged a brace for the Deejayz with Johnstone Olindi and Evin Asena missing conversion attempts.
Kenya 7s forward Andrew Amonde of KCB was named the man of the match.
