The Impala Floodlit tournament’s match day two takes place on Saturday 18 October with semifinal action in the schools, universities and club categories at the Impala Club.
Schools
Champions Ofafa Jericho reached the last four with a 27-6 result over Moi Forces Academy. They face Makini who were 26-15 quarter final winners over Dagoretti High School.
The other semifinal pits Alliance High School, beaten finalists in 2013 playing against Laiser Hill. Alliance reached the semis with a 15-8 win over Lenana School while Laiser Hill beat Mang’u 22-0.
Universities
Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad began their title defense with a comprehensive win over the Technical University of Kenya, the 46-10 result earning them a semi final date with the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Cougars who disposed of the University of Nairobi 32-3 during last weekend’s quarter finals.
The Catholic University Monks reached the semis without breaking a sweat, benefiting from MKU’s non-appearance. They will face 2012 champions United States International University who reached this stage with a 27-3 victory over Daystar University’s Falcons.
Clubs
Champions KCB rallied from a 0-11 half time deficit to eliminate hosts Resolution Impala Saracens from the tournament. They will play Top Fry Nakuru who were 30-8 winners over Homeboyz.
Mean Machine reached the semis with an 11-3 win over Total Nondies and will duel against Lunch Bar Quins who posted a 30-13 result over Mwamba.
