That loss in mind, they worked hard in their next pool match against Makueni RFC to get a clean 46 points at full time.
One win and a loss meant Impala had to beat Nakuru RFC, who were also beaten 12-7 by Blak Blad. This meant that either Resolution Impala Saracens or Top Fry Nakuru RFC would end up in the bowl competition.y
A determined and hungry Impala dispatch Top Fry Nakuru 12-5 to book a date with Kabras Sugar who had topped Pool D.
The heated match against Kabras would end up tied 5-5 at full time. In sudden death, a collision infringement by Impala just outside their 22 would cost them the match when mercurial Brian Tanga converted the awarded penalty for an 8-5 full time score.
Dropping to plate semi, the Gazelles faced Mwamba. Impala camped early inside Kulabu’s 22 and would come out with the only try of the match. The FT scores were 5-0.
The Resolution Insurance backed would meet KCB in the plate final. KCB had lost in the cup quarters to Strathmore 17-12 before beating Blak Blad 12-0 in the plate semi.
A now jaded Impala Saracens would end their Driftwood7s journey with a 17-5 loss against KCB with a 12 point haul. This would place them third with 53 points on the Series log after Homeboyz (60) and Kenya Harlequin (54)
