Hosts of the Impala Floodlit tournament, Resolution Impala Saracens are one step away from the grand final of the tournament following a 20-15 win over Kenya Harlequins during the quarter final on October 5th.
Quins were first to score through Hillary Baraza with scrumhalf Lyle Asiligwa sealing the conversion. Despite leading at the break, Quins were unable to maintain their lead as Impala came out the stronger side in the second half especially within defence.
Impala number nine Ian Mabwa and Anthony Orege scored tries for the hosts while Quins were put on board by Baraza and captain Peter Misango who scored right before the half-time hooter sounded. The scrum-half Asiligwa also added a penalty to take his personal tally to five points.
The second half saw the dismissal of Quins outside back Dennis Muhanji who was sent off following a dangerous tackle on Impala fly-half Samuel Oliech. The fly-half scored 1 game changing penalty from 45 metres to push Impala to 17-14. Quinto Ongo booted another penalty to confirm the 20-15 win.
