A speedy Samuel Motari chewed up acres of the Kenyatta Stadium field before handing the ball to Leon Adongo. Leon’s legendary feet, finished the job at the 40th second of the match. Mark Kwemoi split the posts for a 7-0 lead. Impala’s second try was scored off sheer ferocity. Captain, Samuel Motari, picked up a short pass at pace, blasted through 2 Kisumu RFC defenders, before scoring under the posts. Kwemoi’s boot got it right for a 14-0 score. Although Kisumu showcased instances of obstinacy, Derrick Mayar took advantage of turnover, fooled the defence with a show & go before scoring at the corner. Kwemoi’s boot struck pretty & closed the first half 21-0. No points were scored in the second half by either team.
Resolution Impala Saracens Head Coach – Oscar Osir:
The win & the fact that we didn’t concede is enough reason to smile. I know I have done some tweaks to the team & the players are taking longer than expected to adjust, but we should be fine. I believe that we should be able to light it up when we face Mwamba in our final match of the day. I have to laud the Captain – Samuel Motari once more for his leadership.
