The Resolution Impala Saracens team to face Strathmore Leos has been named. A couple of changes manifest from the team that won the 2014-15 ESS trophy last Saturday. Mwamba Cup is played on a knock out basis and it would be heavily important for the boys to begin the match blazing hot.
Front Row: Marjan Husseyn , Dan Ndome Kelvins Munene
Only Dan Ndome retains his jersey at hooker from the team that played last weekend. Marjan Husseyn and Kelvins Munene come in at 1 and 3 respectively. They replace Javan Obino and Steve Juma loose head and tight head props who are being rested for an Enterprise Cup encounter happening 7 days later.
Locks: Kimeli Arap Kenei , Okeyo Kevin
Kimeli’s fluidity and mobility after platform creation last weekend gets him retaining his jersey. Okeyo Kelvin replaces Oundu Davies. Oundu is expected to turn up for the Gazelles next weekend.
Back row: Mutsami Paul, Wasilwa Innocent, Felix Okari
Mutsami Paul’s punch and Wasilwa Innocent’s hunger for defence will miss Duncan Ekasi’s bulk. In his place comes an obstinate Felix Okari who is raring for redemption after a concussion incurred in Kakamega 3 weeks ago.
Half backs: Omollo Mohammed, Innocent Simiyu
The winning pair continues arranging, suiting, booting and creating opportunities for the Boks.
Centres: Carlos Raoul, Omondi Bill
Wonderful choice of pairing if not laudable. Bill Omondi was impressive at breaking the gain line. Raoul was overly aggressive and confident in contact last weekend. This match could be won nowhere else but in midfield.
Back Three: Ochako Douglas, Israel Soi, Vincent Mose
Sidindi Richard is the notable exclusion in this trio. No reason to worry though as a stocky Israel Soi replaces him at right wing. Ochako Dagg as he fondly refers to his playing regimen, will be influential in defence. This is expected to be a no brainer match for former Kenya XV full back, Vincent Mose. His performance against KCB is a stencil to spray paint against.
