Resolution Impala Saracens will have to go into the Homeboyz match armed with nothing less of explosive artillery. An unfortunate loss to a beefed up Kabras Sugar RFC is the main reason for playing catch up in the final match of the day.
Having played at the biggest stage, Nato Simiyu and Samson Onsomu understood the style of play brought in by the Fijians playing for Kabras at the moment. Denying Kabras possession was going to work. Attacking their defence line at pace after a series of phases was a sure ticket to winning. Beautiful interplay between the half backs got the Kabras defence confused, unfurling a 3 man overload. A pass to Innocent Simiyu was all that Harritone Munai had to fulfill. His forward pass, as explained by Nick Odera could be the main reason for the next series of punches sustained.
The sugar millers took advantage of Impala’s slight loss of concentration. Innocent Simiyu would find himself stretched to the limit before tripping, leaving nothing but the try line for his opponent. This try thus converted got Impala trailing 0-7. Harritone Munai was not having a good day. Another of his passes went begging. The ensuing line out created opportunity for another Kabras build up. A converted try by the Sugar millers a minute before half time got the score board reading 0-14.
Pius Shiundu registered his first try of the 2015 Sevens Series 3 minutes into the 2nd half. His courage in taking contact before touching down at the posts was smartly converted by Nato. Kabras replied at the hooter, closing the match at 21-27 much to Kabras’ delight.
