Resolution Impala Saracens Boks confirmed a 2/2 record against Top Fry Nakuru RFC today after a 43-7 win in a match played at the Impala Club earlier on today. Martin Musau was first to go through the Nakuru try line. Kanyiri’s boot converted for a 7-0 lead. Bernard Rotich took advantage of a poorly set Nakuru scrum to score from the 8th man’s foot. Kanyiri complemented to extend Impala’s lead to 14-0. A slight lapse in defence provided Nakuru the only opportunity to cross over Impala’s most important line. Kevin Omusebe’s try, converted by Martin Muita could have been the trigger Nakuru required to get back into the game, but defiant defending by Impala proved otherwise. What followed was a flood of tries by the Boks. First from Jeremy Griffin who slapped defenders enroute try-box. Kanyiri’s boot failed to secure the extra two points, settling for a 19-7 scoreline at Half-Time.
Nick Dindi, Patrick Mutuku, George Okowa & Kanyiri Kariuki scored tries in the second half. Although Kanyiri’s boot managed to convert Dindi’s and Okowa’s tries, his boot struck short in his attempts to convert Mutuku’s and his own.
