The Resolution Impala Saracens technical bench will have to contend with last week’s proceedings. Javan Obino who was sent off in the 2nd half for an alleged malicious tackle, fails to catch the bus to Kakamega. Dan Ndome was also thrown into the bin for dissent. It will be a tightly contested match with an eye for the Kenya Cup Play offs. Discipline and caution in approach will come in handy tomorrow.
Obino has been replaced by former Kenya Under 19 forward; Mathew Mwenesi. Mwenesi is joined by a tactical Kelvins Munene and a calm Martin Waithumbi in forming the front row.
Oundu Davis could not travel and the technical bench has brought in a tall Kerre Erick at lock. He pairs with Paul ‘Rambo’ Oimbo, arguably the eldest in this team. The back row remains unchanged; Okari Felix wears 6, Okoth Tyson dons 7 and Joel Omer pulls on the eighth man jersey and wraps the captain’s armband too.
Samson Onsomu issues instructions at scrumhalf. Together with Kanyiri Kariuki, who has replaced a non travelling Nyandigisi, they dictate pace. Impala vs CUEA Man of The Match David Dinda moves to first centre, relegating Carlos Raoul to the bench. Outside centre, Okowa George replaces Sammy Oliech who limped off last week. The back 3 sees a slight change. Hand off Master Lameck Dunde comes in at 11, pushing Dinda to inside centre. Quinto Ongo and Pius Shiundu retain their right wing and full back roles respectively.
