2 Resolution Impala Saracens players are currently in the island of Madagascar ready to do duty for the Kenya u20 team that is playing the Africa 20 Championships.
18 year old Mike Munyua who learnt his rugby at the Standard Chartered Impala Saracens Rugby Academy is testament of a working academy system that has also bred the likes of Gazelles fly-half Mohammed Omollo, back row Paul Mutsami and winger Brian Opar. Munyua who started playing at the academy when he was 14 in 2013 will be playing at tight-head prop during the tour.
Xavier Kipng’etich, the fly-half who made his top-flight debut at the 2016 Floodies & has been an almost regular with the ESS side is also on the team. He is also one of the team Vice Captains.
Both players will start Chipu’s opener for Trophy Barthes U20 against Zimbabwe from the bench. The entire Impala fraternity wishes them & Impala/Kenya U20 S&C coach – Mike Owino, the best of luck.
