KENYA Under 19 scrum-half Xavier ‘X’ Kipng’etich is one of six changes to the starting lineup that beat Mwamba II 19-13 in last weekend’s Eric Shirley Shield match. The defending champions remain unbeaten. Ian Mabwa who has been holding fort for the past five fixtures starts off the bench.
Soita Wekesa returns to the starting XV. The rampaging prop who started off the bench against Kulabu last weekend is joined by Meshack Tunechi who has received the fitness clear to also start this weekend. Soita replaces Onsongo Nyamwaya who sits on the reserves’. Stephen Ayora move from tighthead prop, where he has made significant progress, to his natural lock position. Ayora replaces Kevin Okeyo who won’t be involved this weekend.
Last weekend’s blindside winger Brian Opar’s inclusion on the Gazelles’ replacements’ bench results in positional changes: David Moenga moves from inside centre to left wing and Carlos Raoul who started off the bench starts at inside centre.
The Boks beat Nondies II 35-13 in the first leg fixture.
“The Boks have continued to play exciting rugby throughout the season. It is unlikely to be different this weekend,” says Director of Impala Saracens Rugby, Fred Ollows.
“Their hunger to win has been unmatched, their setpiece and open play quite fluid. They hardly bicker and just get on with the business”
They will be in early kickoff action at midday at the RFUEA Grounds.
