Boks run riot against Blakblad II crossing the whitewash eight times in their Eric-Shirley Shield fixture played at Impala grounds, to win 53-6.
Scrum-half Sam Kimakwa, opened the scoreboard after sneaking through the Blakblad II defense. His try was followed by Lionel Lewa’s who turned on the jet-shoes to evade his opposition ‘midfield’ marker (mention name). Emmanuel Okeya would add the extras to have the homeside lead 12-0 just eight minutes into the game.
Blakblad II would pull lessen the Boks lead after Brian Songoi led an attack on the wing side which resulted in a try by Lowell Mwanika for a 12-5 score line.
Albeit the breather, Boks kept on piling pressure and managed to land a try through Valentino Cosmas off a scrum set piece for a 17-5 lead.
Blad’s Byron Ogada would reduce the deficit converting a penalty to reduce the gap to 20-8. And in response, Boks’ Evans Omondi touched down for another try that would be the last play in the opening half, Boks leading Blakblad II 27-8 into the break
Second Half
Boks replicated their strong start off the interval, managing five unresponded tries against the visiting students. Paul Oimbo was the first to touch down followed by Fidel Mukabwa, Alvin Marube and Valentino cosmas.
Emmanuel Okeya would manage to slot in 6 points from the conversions to make it 53-6 at full time.
The Boks next assignment sees them travel to Kakamega, to play Kabras Sugar II at the Forest.
