KRU this afternoon released the 40 man Simbas squad to do duty in the 2017 International season. The Resolution Impala Saracens fraternity is happy to report that out of the 10 players initially called up for trials, 7 have received the nod.
Prop Dennis Karani who has been a regular with the Simbas is joined by James Kubasu who has the possible chance of earning his first cap. Locks Erick Kerre and Simon Muniafu who have been very instrumental in Impala’s 2016-17 Kenya Cup campaign have also been included. Wily scrum-half Samson Onsomu who has time and again proven his mettle at controlling play has been included alongside the tactical mathematician and insightful fly-half – Nato Simiyu. Centre Leo Seje who has been based in Australia and trialled for the Melbourne Rebels franchise, recently got back to breaking lines before accidentally colliding with Collins Injera in a past Kenya Cup match has also been included.
Prop Anthony Orege, lock Davis Makori and loose forwards Paul Mutsami & Tyson Okoth will now fully concentrate on doing duty for the club.
