KCB and Resolution Impala Saracens will meet in the final of the 2015 Impala Floodlit tournament after emerging tops in their semifinal matches played on 24 October at the Impala Club.
The Sarries dispatched Pan Africa Strathmore Leos 32-5 to set up the date with defending champions KCB who edged Homeboyz 22-18 in the other semifinal tie.

Points from bosom buddies Robert Aringo and Sammy Oliech gave the Sarries a 10-0 lead at the interval. Aringo landed a try with Oliech adding a conversion and penalty.
Kevin Ochami, Sydney Muniafu and Sammy Motari would score second half tries, Oliech managing two conversions and a penalty as the Sarries rattled up 22 points in the second half. The Leos responded with an unconverted try from Mugambi Kithamba.
The win for the hosts owed a lot to their forwards who ably dealt with, and eventually neutralized the Leos forwards as they marched into next weekend’s championship match

The defending champions once again made a high-velocity start, dominating possession and territory, putting the deejays on the backfoot. They inevitably put the first points on the board, flanker Elly Mukaizi scoring off a rolling maul, Darwin Mukidza adding the extras for a 7-0 lead.

The deejays made a foray into KCB territory, forcing an infringement and drawing a penalty. Kelvin Masai made no mistake with the ensuing goal attempt, reducing the deficit to four points as KCB led 7-3.
The slippery Mukidiza would then score and convert his own try for a 14-3 score before Homeboyz lock Emmanuel Mavala touched down for a 14-8 score at the break.
Drop goal specialist Harun Lubisia was it for Homeboyz after the break, his successful attempt against his former club bringing Homeboyz to within three points of KCB as the scores read 14-11.
Mukidza responded with a penalty to see KCB go 17-11 up before the deejays upped the ante, putting the bankers under severe pressure but had to contend with a combination of resolute defence from KCB and their inability to be clinical once they were in the opponent’s 22. They would eventually score, Jeff
Oluoch turning on the afterburners and racing clear to score under the posts, Masai converting as they went 18-17 up.
The pressure was mounting on both sides, for Homeboyz, they needed to extend their while KCB needed to stay in touch and avoid leaving the tournament. The bankers seemed to have got a lifeline when they draw a penalty off a Homeboyz infringement. They made the rather obvious decision to go for goal but Mukidza,usually cool and effective, skewed his kick wide from a straightforward angle as his side continued to trail.
Collins Wanjala would soon barge over the chalk, his unconverted try seeing KCB hold out for the result and a date in next weekend’s final against Impala.
