Pedigree meets form as curtains fall on Floodies
IMG_0582

Saturday’s Impala Floodlit final is probably that dream final that the tournament organizers had fathomed when announcing the tournament’s draw several weeks ago.

Defending champions KCB are up against hosts Resolution Impala Saracens in what is expected to be a hard fought encounter and probably a precursor for more supremacy battles when the new Kenya Cup season kicks off on Saturday 21 November 2015.
Saturday’s final is a contest between pedigree and form.

The two sides have had contrasting routes to the title decider, KCB first disposing of Mwamba 28-0 in the quarterfinals before digging deep to pip Menengai Cream Homeboyz 22-18 in last Saturday’s energy sapping semifinal clash.

Pedigree

The bankers, winners in 2005,2007,2013 and 2014 come into the clash counting on pedigree as they seek to become the third team after Mean Machine and Impala to winner the Floodies three times in a row.

Form

The Sarries have been the form team thus far, starting their campaign with a 48-17 quarterfinal blitzkreig of Kenya Harlequin before constricting the life out of Pan Africa Strathmore Leos en route to a 32-5 semifinal win.
