omer

Match day 13 would see Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad playing host to Resolution Impala Saracens at Impala Club.

The first quarter would be hotly contested as Blak Blad would give as much as they got. It would take the Sarries forwards calm dominance for Impala to draw first blood through captain and eighth man Duncan Ekasi, juat before the end of the first quarter.George Okowa would miss this opening conversion.

Minutes later, Ekasi would land his brace from a 5 metre scrum pushover try. Okowa’s conversion would push the scores to 12-0, Impala.

The Sarries momentum would lead to scrum half Mohammed Omollo’s quick tap try after Blad was found offside. Okowa’s conversion stretched the score to 19-0.

The Resolution backed side’s flankers would then light up the stadium with an interchange of passes between blindside Joel Omer and openside Paul Mutsami. Mutsami would score the bonus point try. Okowa,’s boots would shift the scores to 26-0.

The Ngong Road  side’s forwards would further dominate all their facets of play with loosehead prop Stephen Juma brushing the whitewash, from a pick and drive. Okowa would convert for the scoreboard to read 31-0.

Left wing Ian Minjire’s try would complete the playmakers’ interplay between flyhalf Nato Simiyu and Omollo, a 6th for Impala.  Okowa”s conversion would hand the Sarries  a 38-0 half time score.

The start of second half saw Impala pick up the pace, as they got into stride. An interplay between Simiyu and Okowa would see the fly half cross the line. Okowa’s conversion would raise the scores to 45-0.

Outside centre Bill Omondi who made his way down the students’ half and scored. Simiyu’s conversion after this try would be missed and scores were at 50-00.

A now rampant Impala would then see Simiyu set up inside centre Robert Aringo to add to Blad’s misery. Simiyu’s drop goal conversion drove the scores to 57-0.

Reserve scrum half Samson Onsomu (Omollo) would then snipe the base to give Saracens Global Network affiliate an unconverted tenth try swelling the score to 62-0.

Onsomu would then attack the blindside to find Minjire who would put right wing Kevin Ochami in the clear to score another unconverted try to tick the board to 67-0.

The Resolution Impala Saracens would get two more tries through Minjire and reserve loosehead prop Edgar Obino (Stephen Juma). Ochami would convert both tries to close the Gazelle account at 81-0.
