Resolution Impala Saracens’ Paul Mutsami secured catch from BlakBlad kick off, raced into Blad 22 & offloaded to Ian Minjire who scored at the corner. Kwemoi’s attempt at the posts blew short. BlakBlad would however rally for the remainder of the 1st half. The students’ efforts finally paid off when they scored a nicely worked try through Moses Begi. Brian Waihinya converted for a 5-7 scoreline at half-time. Impala on the trail.
Impala’s revenge from the 21-7 Kabeberi 7s loss to the same outfit was confirmed when Robin Kiplang’at drove into contact & offloaded to Sammy Oliech. Oliech’s attempt at collecting the extras flew wide.
FT: Resolution Impala Saracens 10-7 BlakBlad
Resolution Impala Saracens Assistant 7s Coach – Nick Abok
What went right for us is we scored in the 1st minute. But we looked a little sluggish in the 2nd half. I believe if we control possession, we have a good chance in our next match.
Resolution Impala Saracens Director of Rugby – Fred Ollows
We have history with BlakBlad and had to sort it out. They beat us 21-7 at Kabeberi. It was unfortunate that Oliech picked a yellow card in this match. He still has not grasped the best of opportunities today, but I hope that is a lesson he has learnt and will improve with every match. Going into the Nondies match, we need to go for pace and match control. We need to score a lot of points here because there could be a ‘mathematics’ situation here. We would also need to work on our coordination & improve on team chemistry.
Resolution Impala Saracens 7s Head Coach – Oscar Osir
We still have not respected the processes that we have built. Very many players are running away from the process & as a result, we are struggling with execution. Our aim going into the last match is to go for a win & score as much in order to be on the good side of a possible arithmetic situation.
