A nicely built up try by Leon Adongo which went unconverted after a Mark Kwemoi attempt opened scores. A Mark Kwemoi try increased the points margin to 10-0 Impala. Onsomu converted stretching it further to 12-0. Kwemoi would later take matters into his own hands, thrashing 2 defenders before scoring at the corner to register his brace. Onsomu’s attempt at converting blew short. Makueni grew selfish in the second half, denying Impala any acreage. Their dominance of the breakdown to forcing Impala errors manifested in the second half. Makueni were purposeful with ball in hand. They disliked the ruck and swung from pair of hands to another. Soon enough, a wide gap was created in Impala defence and Emmanuel Kilonzo had no obstacle to encounter on his way to the try box.
