Resolution Impala Saracens avoided a last minute scare from Strathmore Leos winning 20-18 to reach Floodies final on Saturday October 20, 2018 at Impala.
Leos looked like they were on their way to bagging an important win but a knock-on inside Impala’s 22 ensured the hosts celebrated at full time.
Impala ran in three tries, one penalty and a conversion against Strathmore’s two tries and two penalties.
Leos had taken a 3-0 lead through Gideon Makumi’s penalty but Impala went ahead to score three tries through Billy Omondi, Paul Mutsami and Elvis Oroko as Kenya 7s half-back Sammy Oliech was sure with the goal-kicks.
Albert Obura scored Leos’ first try followed by Alex Maina whose try would have seen things level 20-20 if Makumi would have sent the conversion in.
Impala will play KCB who beat Homeboyz 34-10 in the second semi-final.
