Resolution Impala Saracens line up 23 for must win battle against Kabras
impala vs kabras

Edgar Obino, Collins Chogo & Kelvin Ronnoh will not start this weekend when Resolution Impala Saracens host Kabras Sugar RFC in a match expected to pull crowds from all corners of the Kenyan rugby sphere. The front-row unit has experienced wholesome changes, with the technical bench seeking to match Kabras pound for pound, both in beef & ferocity. Steve Juma starts at loose-head, Daniel Ndome at hooker and Saul Kivumbi at loose-head. Davis Makori & Shem Joseph will continue enjoying their partnership at lock. Tyson Okoth, Elkeans Musonye & Joel Omer have been consistent in performance and medical fitness. They complete the pack at back-row. Omer will captain the team after it was confirmed that Samson Onsomu will not be available for duty. Onsomu’s absence from weekend action necessitates the inclusion of Mark Kwemoi in the starting XV. Xavier Kipng’etich who has been playing at fly-half, moves to scrum-half. Mark Kwemoi blends in at fly-half. Inside centre – Paul Mutsami will start this game from the bench. His position is taken up by Ishmael Mokaya whose obdurate & abrasive nature in attack has germinated into a behemoth. Mokaya partners with the experienced Anthony Nyandigisi in midfield. Only 1 change has been made to the back three. Bradley Ochieng will be uninvolved in top-flight rugby this weekend. Quinto Ongo, who missed out of Impala’s 25-10 win against Mean Machine RFC last Saturday is back.

If you’ve had a look at the Kenya Cup table and have noticed these 3 weekend fixtures:  Kenya Harlequins v Nondescripts, Menengai Oilers v Stanbic Mwamba & Mean Machine v Top Fry Nakuru, then you would realize that this is an important match for Impala & a win must be recorded if the team is keen on securing a solid spot in the play-offs.
