Recent Resolution Impala Saracens head coach appointment, Mitch Ocholla, has named ten Impala debutants in his first squad. The Sarries are scheduled to meet Menengai Oilers at 5.50pm tomorrow as the Impala Floodlit 2019 premieres.
Former Blak Blad hooker Givens Onyango starts as does former Homeboyz number 8, Steve Anthony Otieno. Impala Swaras graduate Clinton Musonye makes his senior side starting debut.
On the replacements bench, Onyango’s former Blad teammates, Franz Obudo and Bravin Mukoro, cover loosehead prop and lock positions.
Brian Ochien’g and Sammy Kimakwa, two other former Swaras, graduate to the tighthead prop and scrum half replacement.
Otherwise, centre Daniel Dindi and Douglas Ochako, make their first Gazelles’ starting appearance. Fullback Quinto Ongo makes a starting fullback debut. Back Lionel Lewa, receives his first Gazelles callup, starting as a back replacement.
Duncan Ekasi, returns to captain the squad.
“Oilers are a well drilled possession side. They scrummage well too and enjoy taking risks. We will have to be on top of our game management,” said Ocholla. “We have put in some hard yards and expect it to show. There are also some exciting players that have joined the stable”
The Gazelles play at 5.50pm.
