Impala Floodlit final set for Saturday
floodlit
The curtains fall on the Impala Floodlit tournament with four matches on the cards on Saturday 25 October 2014 at the Impala Club.

Two three time Floodie winners face off on Saturday, a fourth title the reward for the winner of the match between defending champions KCB and Lunch Bar Quins. It should be an entertaining final, KCB coming into this fixture off two close results, a 25-19 quarter final over hosts Resolution Impala Saracens on Saturday 11 October, following this up with a 25-21 semi final win over Top Fry Nakuru on Saturday 18 October 2014. The bankers have certainly kept their fans on edge, giving them anxious moments over the past fortnight.

Quins have had a relatively easy path to the final, beating Mwamba 30-13 in their quarter final encounter before easing to a 20-3 semi final win over Mean Machine last weekend. The last of their three titles came in February 1998 when they beat KCB 41-6 on a typically chillySaturday evening under the Impala light. A lot of water has since passed under the bridge, the bankers eventually going on to match Quins title haul when they posted a 28-3 score to beat Nondies for the 2013 title.

This match will be preceded by the third place playoff pitting Mean Machine against Top Fry Nakuru at 6.00pm. There will also be two other finals on the day, Blak Blad playing USIU in the university final at 3.30pm with Ofafa Jericho playing Laiser Hill in the schools final at 2.20pm.
