Nick Abok talks of the Academy journey
IMG_9363

The academy has come this far. How has the journey been?

A lot of improvement has been realized. We have slowly acknowledged that size is a necessity in this game. Our agility and ability to react when endangered has always worked to our success. Our  program has been to be able to create players who are not only champions on the pitch but champions in their lives off it. We have values that would help us achieve this dream to come true and that is what journey is all about.

Any lesson learnt during the group games?

Losing to Comras was a massive lesson. We lost on many fronts discipline and lack of commitment from the playing unit. My first assignment was to create a good environment that could grow the team, am happy the result are showing the effort of everyone has put in the team. I like  losses because you learn more from it than winning, that loss made us who we are now.

Any key point men expected to steer the team to silverware?

I am just part of the team, silverware has never been the goal, The Process Is More Important Than The Result Because Results Flow From Healthy Processes. Most of our efforts are put on the process rather than the outcome.

The team which is unified and care more of one another will give us more effort on the pitch and off it. if this is achieved then we have we have won our first silverware.

Who is the team meeting this weekend?

We are facing Mwamba III. A strong team indeed. We know what we are capable of doing and if we keep the discipline i know we will play a better game and hence have a higher chance of winning.
