Resolution Impala Saracens are the 2014-2015 ESS champs!
Champions ESS title

A mix of brute skill, intelligent play and massive strength contributed to cutting a 15 year ESS trophy drought for the Resolution Impala Saracens this morning.

Mose crosses the chalk!

Impala should have been 3 points ahead in the 3rd minute but scrumhalf Mohammed Omolo narrowly missed the chance. The backline would come to life in the 7th minute; Innocent Simiyu took it into contact, offloaded to Richard Sidindi who flung it out wide to Vincent Mose’s try hungry hands. Omollo was unfortunate not to convert this one.

Ekasi’s brute strength

A 13th minute scrum down in KCB’s 22 provided a no brainer opportunity for another try. Ekasi’s experience and strength powering to grounding the ball after pick up! Omollo’s boot narrowly missed converting this registering a 10-0 score board call out.

Ndome’s clever lineout throw

Capitalizing on KCB’s poor concentration, Ndome slipped off a clever throw to Javan Obino inside the 22. All that Javan needed was to downshift a gear and power to the white dust! Omollo’s boot came to life converting this for a 17-0 scoreboard reading at the 36th minute.

Bonab Were wins penalty & 3 points for KCB

The last 4 minutes would be filled with a seemingly resurgent KCB camping in Impala’s 22. Ndome would fail to release. Referee Allan Wanjohi’s whistle was quick to punishment. Bonab Were assured the KCB technical bench for his ‘posts’ choice.

Half Time: Resolution Impala Saracens 17-3 KCB Cubs

KCB would re – emerge from the break a stronger side, pushing Impala to the edge. A couple of tries could have been scored off the wide ball hadn’t it been for Douglas Ochako’s defensive determination.

Lucky Mose Try

Scrum down deep in KCB 22. Omollo whipped it to Nato. Cross kick! It initially looked like KCB had killed the ball. Mose’s hungry fingers reigned again! Pounce and Try! Omollo’s boot sure to the conversion! 24-3 Impala!

Israel Soi binned!

Dissent at ruck by Israel Soi saw Referee Allan Ngige lift his hand up and running to the centre posts. Penalty try to KCB! 24-10 Impala

Experience closes the game!

A slight opportunity opened up in the 75th minute. Sidindi exploited the KCB defence, pulled in 2 defenders. Offload to Mose. Mose’s prancing pulled in another 2 defenders! Overlap! Pass to Innocent ‘Namcos’ Simiyu! Try!! Omollo’s attempt at converting flew wide for a 29-10 Full Time score!
