Resolution Impala Saracens was elated to have KRRS member & seasoned referee – Constant Cap choose the team this week as part of his midweek referee practice regime.
Speaking to our media team after a very analytical match session with the 7s team, Cap mentioned the reason for his presence at Impala last evening:
What usually happens is every referee as part of his training should look for a club in the midweek to referee a session just to keep himself in the line with the game like players do. Part of refereeing is fitness, match fitness which you do by yourself & game scenarios which you look for a club to do in. This week I asked Impala if I could come & they accepted. The advantage here are the floodlights – you can always come after work.
Cap was also open to engage Resolution Impala Saracens on specific aspects of laws at breakdown area. From his experience in officiating sevens, he appreciates the breakdown as the most problematic to most teams. It is here where most penalties are awarded & therefore the reason to constantly revise the reason to better understanding laws & promoting safety within the sport.
We thank Mr. Cap for his generous contribution to better understanding the law during this sevens circuit.
