Youngster – Anthony Odhiambo, who is a product of the Impala Saracens Academy system pulled one back for Impala after only 1 minute of play in the second half. His attempt at converting flew wide. Patrick Mutuku’s admirable style of speedy play came alive 2 minutes later. The scrum-half peeled off the scrum, caught Blad scrum-half and centre unawares and launched a 40 metre run into the sweet-spot. Odhiambo could have done better with the attempted conversion but blew it away. When Blad seemed resurgent & Impala needed confirmation points, it all boiled down to one man – Paul Mutsami. The hooker pinned back his ears from centre-pitch & drove his 87 kg frame into the try box. Mutuku’s attempt at converting went short.

Resolution Impala Saracens Head Coach – Oscar Osir:
If you look at the results, this is progress. We were relegated in Kabeberi and played in the Challenge Trophy at Driftwood 7s. This feels refreshing, but there is still a lot of cleaning up to do. We’ve been decent in defence all round, save for the Mwamba RFC match where we leaked in tries. If we only fix our indecision in attack, our match against Kenya Harlequins in the Main Cup Quarters tomorrow should deliver a desirable result.
