Willy Ndayara scored the first try for Kenya Harlequins but the attempted conversion that followed blew wide. Frank Wanyama scored the second off a greased tackle by Paul Mutsami. The conversion, beautifully executed by Eden Agero gave Quins the 12-0 lead.

Matters in the second half turned out rather dry for the noisy neighbours. Samwel Motari stretched Cyprian Kuto to the 5, but just before he completed the grounding, Kuto committed to a high tackle that earned Impala not only a penalty try but a yellow card on himself. Impala turned out the better team, upping the intensity in attack and defending with unrivalled zeal. Soon enough, the Quin found himself soaking in two tries, one courtesy of Mark Kwemoi and another through Samwel Motari. Referee Victor Oduor blew to end the match.

Resolution Impala Saracens Head Coach – Oscar Osir:
It is always good to win a derby, especially against a backdrop of former loss at Driftwood 7s in the Challenge Trophy Final. We seemed to want it more than the opposition. We would like to use this momentum against Menengai Cream Homeboyz in the Main Cup Semi. They are on form, but this could just turn out to be the best time to beat them.
Resolution Impala Saracens Chairman – Bill Githinji:
I am extremely excited! They say patience is a virtue. Going to the Main Cup Semis especially after beating Quins is a very wonderful feeling! Homeboyz could be circuit leaders, but they can be beaten.
