Former Kenya internationals scrum half Moses Kola, no. 8 Paul Oimbo and winger Leon Adongo are Resolution Impala Saracens Boks starters to face Menengai Cream Homeboyz II at Impala Club this weekend at 2pm.

“We are always happy to call on our more experienced players to share their institutional memory with the team. At the same time, they keep refreshed and learn our ever evolving approach,” says Fred Ollows, Director of Impala Rugby.

Otherwise, hooker Jimmy Mwangi, who started off the bench last weekend returns to the starting line-up, replacing last weekend’s maul scorer Collins Chogo. The locks remain unchanged with Dan Otela and Bakata Elisapana retaining their starting roles.

Edwin Gatungo, who has since regained fitness, starts at blind-side flank.  Elvis Oroko, who wore the number 6 jersey last weekend, starts from the bench.

Captain Steve Shammah returns to his usual open side flanker position while Richard Asante, who donned the number 7 jersey last weekend, shall not be stepping onto the turf this weekend.

Kola pairs up with Ian Mabwa at fly-half. Jeremy Mwambu who played at flyhalf last weekend, starts from the bench.

Douglas Ochako is uninvolved this weekend and is replaced by David Moenga.

Carlos Raoul comes in at inside centre, replacing Kevin Ochami, who will not be featuring on any team this weekend.

Patrick Mutuku who has established himself as the specialist outside-centre retains the starting and vice-captain of the day role.

Adongo will replace Michael Orwa in the right wing in a clear bid to stretch the Homeboyz defence.

Emmanuel Okeya debuts at full-back for Mark Kwemoi, who got injured last weekend when the team won 12-7 against Strathmore Catulus last weekend.

Resolution Impala Saracens Boks overcame abrasive Homeboyz II on 26th November 2016. The resultant 29-8 win doesn’t reflect the intense contest that Homeboyz put up.
