Menengai Oilers have defeated Catholic Monks to be crowned champions of the university category at the 2017 edition of the Impala Floodlit tournament.
In the lead up to the final, Oilers defeated Blak Blad while Monks were winners over TUK in the other semifinal.
To win the title for yet another year running, Oilers scored three tries, two conversions and two penalties with Monks garnering their points courtesy of two tries, two conversions and two penalties.
Oilers’ Dan Abuonji, Rodgers Audi and Anthony Opiyo were try scorers for the champions whilst Monks try scorers were Boniface Amino and Felix Kegode.
