Floodies 2018 Semis: Resolution Impala Saracens Go All Out Against Strathmore

Resolution Impala Saracens have named their match day 23 to take on Strathmore Leos in the Main Cup Semi Final of the 37th Impala Rugby Floodlit Tournament sponsored by BLAZE. Speaking to the Floodies 2018 Media team, backs coach – Oscar Osir confirmed, “In light with our approach, we’ve made 3 changes. One of them is necessitated by injury, Wekesa Soita’s torn eye-brow has been problematic to him & we wouldn’t want to aggravate it this weekend. He is replaced by Edgar Obino at loose-head prop. The other two changes are tactical. Samson Onsomu came from the bench in our 20-15 win against Kenya Harlequins and not only stabilized proceedings but also created very good striking opportunities. He will start at scrum-half. Ian Mabwa who started in that position last week, has been rested. Billy Omondi has been impressive in training this week. He will start at the left wing. Dave Moenga, who started in this position last week, has been rested.”

Director Of Rugby – Fred Ollows asserted, “Strathmore are a banana peel. They have very youthful players who are never afraid to showcase their youthful exuberance. We expect them to come hard at us. When your opponent has nothing to lose, you have to be very careful. Such matches can be difficult to play and that’s why we’ve made an informed decision to focus on control as that is the only way we will get the result we desire.”

The bench features a powerful magazine for reload. The indefatigable Davis Makori, fleet footed Steve Shammah, incisive Xavier Bett, clever Seje Owade & a  spirited Mark Kwemoi are some of the players the technical bench can deploy at any time to counter Strathmore insurgency.
