7 senior teams & 6 under 17 ladies teams have confirmed participation in the Standard Chartered Impala Ladies Rugby Tournament to be played this Mashujaa Day at the Impala Club from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
In the Senior Category, Menengai Cream Homeboyz have been pooled together with Mwamba RFC, Shamas & USIU in Pool A. Pool B will feature Stanchart Impala, Top Fry Nakuru & BlakBlad.
Pool A of the Under 17 category will have Shamas, Moonlight Academy & Maono Educational Centre. Arise, Olympic High School & Hidden Talent make up Pool B.
Speaking to our media team this morning, Tournament Officer – Maria Otieno confirmed, “This tournament brings together ladies from all walks of life to compete for a chance to be recognized by talent scouts. If you have never watched highly competitive ladies rugby, then this is your chance! We expect to see Kenya Lionesses players like Janet Okello, Celestine Masinde, Doreen Remuor, Janet Awino, Rachel Adhiambo & Judith Auma turn out for their teams. We have also lined up an amazing fan experience for the fans. You will be able to purchase delicious food & refreshments at very affordable prices. Electrifying music shall be served during breaks. In addition to the fun, life skills teaching sessions shall also be conducted by team leaders. Magnificent trophies shall be awarded at the end of the day.”
