Daniel Ndome starts at hooker this Saturday, 10 February 2018 when Resolution Impala Saracens play Top Fry Nakuru RFC in a Round 9 Kenya Cup fixture. Ndome replaces Kelvins Karani. Kelvins has been rested this weekend & will therefore not be involved in any rugby. Dennis Karani returns to the front row after a week of absence due to personal commitments. The tight-head prop replaces Anthony Orege. Orege starts from the bench. A third change is made to the second row that started against BlakBlad last weekend. Michael Gitau replaces Paul Oimbo & partners with Rainer Omondi. Joel Omer has returned to Kenya Cup action after 3 months. He replaces Eric K’Opondo to start at blindside flank. Nato Simiyu is unavailable for action. Robin Kiplang’at will take up the fly-half role on the day. Centre – Ishmael Mokaya has been rested. Robert Aringo who started off the bench last weekend finally gets a chance to start for the Gazelles at inside centre. The only change in the back three is Ian Minjire for Billy Omondi. Omondi will not participate in competition this weekend.
Resolution Impala Saracens currently sit 4th on the Kenya Cup log with 29 points. Top Fry Nakuru sit 6th with 17 points. While Impala will play for a solid play-off position, Nakuru will be playing to boost chances of staying within play-off zone. The last time Impala played Nakuru on 4th March 2017, the Gazelles just couldn’t score the defining try at the 79th minute. The 17-21 full-time score got the hosts celebrating, but they might never forget the sheer ferocity of the Impala scrum on that particular day. Will Nakuru bounce back from the shock 13-29 loss at the hands of Strathmore or will the Gazelles assert dominance on the visitors from minute 1? Only those who come to the Impala Club this weekend will get to witness first-hand. Gates open at midday & entrance is only 300/-/
