Ian Mabwa’s quick try, which he successfuly converted was cancelled out by referee – David Ng’etich, when he (Ng’etich) awarded Northern Suburbs a penalty try after Leon Adongo tackled high within strike zone. Paul Mutsami wrestled 2 Suburbs defenders, left them wiggling on the floor before launching a 60 metre dash to the corner. Mabwa’s attempt at top-dressing this effort went short.
HT: Resolution Impala Saracens 12-7 Northern Suburbs
Impala could have scored a try through Ishmael Mokaya, but his deceleration with only 10 metres left to the try-box allowed for his tackling and turnover by Felix Omondi. Omondi took advantage of a flabbergasted Impala defence & scored after running 90 metres. The attempt at post went wide. Scores remained 12-12. A Makiya – Motari partnership yielded try in the 10th minute. Kwemoi converted neatly. Mabwa scored an unconverted try at the hooter.

The reality of sports is you harvest what you put in. We are in this situation because of ourselves. Playing in the 13th place competition is an ultimate low, but we are still playing what is ahead of us. We play Masinde Muliro in the 13th place final. It was a little difficult wrapping them at Sepetuka, but we aim to switch on our ‘mental’ in that last game of the day.
