KRU Womens Festival: Impala hoping to defend 2018 honors in Nakuru
stano-3

The Impala Saracens Women’s team will on this Sunday – 31st March 2019 head on to Nakuru to compete in the 5th leg of the 2019 KRU Women’s Festival. The team which lost 5-7 to Nakuru in the 4th leg final played at Impala Club has since absorbed learnings and has been working on righting the wrongs made in the match that could have easily placed them top of the log – had they executed with brutality especially at the breakdown.

Team Coach – Maria Otieno is confident that the girls will put forth a display worth writing home about.

The biggest contenders are Nakuru and ourselves. If we falter at the group stages, chances are high that Homeboyz could have a chance at the trophy. We have been working on contact and our demeanor within the breakdown. I am sure Nakuru are sharpening their swords. They have never won overall Festival honors before. We won the 2nd leg this year, came close to winning the 4th. Our goal is to retain our 2018 Festival Honors & that means winning in Nakuru this Sunday.
