A hard hitting Davis Makori returns to 7s action this weekend when Resolution Impala Saracens take on Dala 7s. He is joined by Ishmael Mokaya who missed out of the Driftwood 7s leg due to injury. George Okowa, who was rested from the Driftwood 7s leg also makes his return to competitive rugby after an impressive 2 weeks of training. Leon Adongo, Timothy Makiya, Kerre Eric, Ian Mabwa and Hanningtone Mbaka, who featured on the Driftwood 7s team list 2 weeks ago, have been rested.
Speaking to our media team yesterday evening after the team naming ceremony, team coach – Oscar Osir confirmed, “Right now our priority is to get back to rhythm. We have agreed to maintain focus on current matters at hand – top on that list is getting back to our winning ways. We have introduced 2 players to the side. Anthony Odhiambo & Douglas Ochako are expected to feature and gain competitive exposure this weekend. If we stick to structure, this should be the weekend when the real Impala stands up.”
Resolution Impala Saracens currently stands 8th with 37 points. The team, drawn in Pool B is scheduled to play Mwamba RFC, Menengai Oilers & BlakBlad RC on 8th September 2018 at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu.
