Moenga returns from injury for Nakuru duel
C6EqZNtWcAEtyUU

Loose head prop – Victor Ochieng will miss Resolution Impala Saracens Boks’ fixture against Nakuru RFC. Ochieng, who is injured, is replaced by Steve Juma – a wrecking ball just out of injury. Francis Achira replaces Edwin Gatungo to play at lock. Gatungo will play at blind-side flank, a position that Evans Omondi played in last weekend. Omondi has been rested this weekend. Richard Asante replaces Steve Shammah at open-side flank. Shammah has been promoted to play in the 4pm fixture after his electrifying work last weekend in Impala’s 41-10 win against BlakBlad RC II.

Ian Mabwa is back to starting at scrum-half. Last week’s scrumhalf Bernard Rotich starts from the bench. David Moenga has worked hard to regain fitness after an injury picked on 13th January when the Boks played against Mwamba RFC in a friendly match. Patrick Mutuku has been re-introduced to start at outside centre. He replaces Bob Otieno. Otieno will not be involved in any rugby this weekend. In a tactical decision following Nato Simiyu’s absence, Robin Kiplang’at has been named to start at fly-half in the starting Gazelles XV squad. Mark Kwemoi, who started off the bench last weekend, takes up the full-back role. The last time the Boks played against Nakuru, on a dusty NAC floor, they beat the hosts 17-6. Although the match was marred by inconsistent officiating, the Boks stood resolute, overcoming the convectional heat & dismantling Nakuru’s scrum-down. What is to be remembered is Impala’s inability to score any point in the second half. Will the Boks win both halves this weekend or will it be a repeat of 4th March 2017? Be at the Impala Club from 2pm!
