The Resolution Impala VIIs team has made six changes to their Prinsloo 7s team ahead of the Christie 7s.
Christies is scheduled to begin tomorrow at the RFUEA Grounds. Kenya international forward Elkeans (Fonto) Musonye will lead out the team as captain.
Musonye leads the changes that see half back Xavier Bett, winger Alvin Marube and booker Paul Mutsami return to the squad after their Prinsloo absence. Kenya fullback AJ Odhiambo (AJO) and hard carrying forward Davis Makori enter the #Stanbic7s fray for the first time, this season.
The season’s 7s captain Mark Kwemoi, Elvis Oroko, Robin Kiplang’at, Timothy Makiya, Erick Kerre and Daniel Dindi have been replaced.
“This squad is the result of a mix of issues, tactical, form, rest and national team player availability matters. We also sought to answer some of our Prinsloo issues. We were somewhat flat and didn’t quite finish key chances when they were on,” said coach Oscar Osir commenting on the squad.
The Sarries are in Pool B together with Menengai Cream Homeboyz, Kenya Harlequins and Stanbic Pirates of Uganda.
