NATO RETURNS AGAINST KABRAS
nato

Resolution Impala Saracens pivot Nato Simiyu is one of five changes – one a lock positional switch – from the starting lineup that faced Blak Blad before Easter, in the 16th round of Kenya Cup.

The Sarries travel to Kakamega to face Kabras Sugar RC in a double header Kenya Cup day at Kakamega High School. Western Bulls play Thika RFC at The Bull Ring in the first match at 2pm.

The last time the Gazelles met Kabras, the Ngong Road side packed a 31-14 bonus point win over Kabras.

“Kabras will be a tough customer at home but we play the game for such fixtures,” says Director of Rugby, Fred Ollows.

“We have put in quality hours to prepare for this trip. It would be a damn good win on the path to the playoffs. The clash is bound to be intense and exciting”

The Karani brothers, Dennis and Kelvins, are bereaved and unavailable for selection this week.

In the run on team, Hosea Ngesa returns to the tighthead, David Makori to tight lock, with Simon Muniafu switching to partner him, while youth Olympian Bill Omondi starts at outside centre.

Hot stepping Ian Mabwa, comes from an outstanding show at the Great Rift 10-a-side tournament, to potentially make his Kenya Cup debut as reserve scrum half.

STARTING XV
Stephen Juma, Daniel Ndome, Hosea Ngesa, Davis Makori, Simon Muniafu, Joel Omer, Tyson Okoth, Duncan Ekasi (C), Mohammed Omollo, Nato Simiyu, Israel Soi, Innocent Simiyu, Bill Omondi, Kevin Ochami, George Okowa.

RESERVES
Edgar Obino, Neville Omondi, Daniel Abok, Paul Mutsami, Ian Mabwa, Anthony Nyandigisi, Quinto Ongo, Meshack Tunechi.
