30 seconds after kick off, Paul Mutsami dragged his defenders into the try box to score. Kwemoi’s attempt at finding the posts went wide. Captain – Samuel Motari was next on the scorers’ sheet with a brace. Kwemoi converted only one to push scores to 17-0 by half-time. Samson Onsomu broke apart KCB defence in the early minutes of the second half but Kwemoi failed to top up the extra two points. Isaac Njoroge managed to score one for the bankers but Elphas Adunga couldn’t find the posts. KCB kicked for restart after the buzzer expecting to reduce the points deficit but Impala super substitute – Ian Mabwa caught the ball & burnt 70 metres to scoring at the corner. Kwemoi was on point with the conversion closing the match 29-5
Resolution Impala Saracens will be facing a highly improved Mwamba RFC at 12.30 pm & an unpredictable CUEA Monks outfit at 2.50 pm
Resolution Impala Saracens 7s Head Coach Oscar Osir
It is always flattering when the score is high. But I expected us to stick to our structures, play well & execute some of the things we never did last week. Our next match has a Kenya 7s legend – Humphrey Khayange lined up by Mwamba RFC. You can see the confidence he’s brought into the team, but like I said last weekend, we embrace challenges. We are ready to face anything that comes our way.
