Resolution Impala Saracens Boks continued their unbeaten run with a win against Nondescripts RUFC yesterday at the RFUEA. The team has since risen to top the ESS log with 56 points, 3 ahead of Kenya Commercial Bank.
Team captain Quinto Ongo was first to go over the chalk and converted his own, sending Impala 7-0 ahead. Xavier Kipng’etich sneaked another after stolid display of carry after carry by Soita Wekesa and Meshack Tunechi. Quinto’s success at booting for conversion stretched the Boks lead by 14 points.
Lock Stephen Ayora would be shown yellow for a dangerous tackle but Nondies would show disinterest in taking advantage of his absence. Upon his return to the field of play, Moenga stretched 4 Nondies defenders to slapping the ball against the white-wash at the corner flag. Quinto failed to convert from the tight angle. Impala 19-0 Nondies.
Nondies’ Captain Jeff Otieno would score with a few minutes left to half time. Marvin Sumba missed the conversion.

Nondies would come into the second half the better side, possessing to frustrating Impala but failing to convert their frightening territorial kicks into meaningful points.
Impala remained stubborn in defence and utilized Nondies’ lapses in concentration to win the match.
Eric K’Opondo’s barge over the line & Patrick Mutuku’s swatting of 4 defenders to diving into the box dimmed any chances of a Nondies’ resurgence. Ongo converted K’Opondo’s but was unlucky with top-dressing Mutuku’s.
