Resolution Impala Saracens has named its team to the Great Rift 10s tournament. The technical bench has opted to fuse long cultivated experience with youthful energy on this tour.
Experienced forwards like Davis Makori, Joel Omer, Edgar Obino, Paul Mutsami & Erick Kerre were instrumental in propelling the Resolution Impala Saracens Gazelles to a 2016/17 Kenya Cup Quarters and have received the technical bench nod to board the Saturday morning bus to the Nakuru Athletics Club. Joining them on this tour on the forwards pine is lock/8th man – Rainer Omondi who just recovered from knee injury and the ever energetic back row Elvis Oroko whose rugby future holds tonnes of promise.
Seasoned backs like Samson Onsomu, Mohammed Omollo (Vice Captain), Robin Kiplang’at, Israel Soi, Billy Omondi & George Okowa (Captain) have proper understanding of this particular short version of the game & fairly new entrants like Brian Opar, Timothy Makiya & Emmanuel Okeya should come out of the tour having learnt valuable lessons from them.
Last year, Impala exited the tournament without a trophy after losing 5-19 to KCB in the Plate Finals.
This year, the team is in Pool I together with KCB, Eldoret & JKUAT Cougars.
