After a thunderous 121-10 defeat over visiting Kenya Sharks, Resolution Impala Saracens are upbeat. No one could explain the feeling when it was announced on the night of 9th January that the team was actually 1st on the Kenya Cup standings. Impressive to note is the players have not soaked in the pride. Head Coach Fred Ollows maintained that the play off talk is out of bounds. His exact words; ‘We are living the one game at a time mantra’.
Notable areas of correction would have to be lethargy within the last 10 minutes of a match. It is within this period that Vincent Mose’s pass was intercepted, gifting Kenya Sharks their only try of the match. Another infringement in own 22, 3 minutes to the final whistle gifted the opponent the opportunity to collect 3 points. Ollows will also be keen on reducing handling errors witnessed within the 1st half.
Mean Machine, though a worthy opponent of the yester years may not put forth heavy resistance. But with eyes on Kenya Cup glory, the technical bench is going kamikaze.
Notable Changes on the starting line up
