Resolution Impala Saracens are through to the inaugural Sepetuka 7s Main Cup Finals. Samson Onsomu could have placed the Gazelles ahead of the Deejayz a minute after kick-off but he knocked it on in the 22. Mark Kwemoi was however quick to prove to the crowd at Eldoret Sports Club that Impala was here to play. He scored and converted for a 7-0 lead. Bush Mwale replied in no time, dotting under the posts. Michael Wanjala converted without difficulty to tie the game. Samson Onsomu would thereafter gather tonnes of courage & weave out of Homeboyz defence. Although he scored close to the posts, the resultant attempt at finding the posts went wide for a 12-7 half time score. Lapse in Impala defence provided Humphrey Mulama a scoring chance at the corner. The conversion went wide. Timothy Makiya who came on for an injured Samuel Oliech would later take the ball into space, outpace Leonard Mugaisi before switching with Sidindi Richard. Kwemoi converted pushing scores to 19-12. A moment of madness then ran through the Gazelles veins. Derrick Mayar ran into Joshua Chisanga, offloaded to Davis Makori who bumped Oscar Okaron off. The resultant ruck unfurled acres of space for Mark Kwemoi to sail into the try box. Kwemoi converted for 26-12. Davis Makori would be found on the wrong side of the law after going high on Bush Mwale. Referee Victor Oduor called for penalty try & after Homeboyz decided not to convert it, he blew the fulltime whistle to confirm Impala’s qualification to the Main Cup Finals
