Steve Juma will start at tight-head prop for the first time in the 2017-18 Kenya Cup after posting impressive results in training for the past 2 weeks. Juma replaces Dennis Karani who started in the same position against in Impala’s 43-36 win against Nakuru on 10th February 2018. Another change made to the squad is inclusion of lock – Davis Makori who had been away with work commitments on the weekend of the 10th. Michael Gitau who paired with Rainer Omondi at second row will not be involved in rugby this weekend. The technical bench has decided to re-introduce Anthony Nyandigisi’s services at fly-half. Robin Kiplang’at, who started at this position on the 10th has been moved to fullback. Kiplang’at replaces Vincent Mose who will start off the bench. Wholesome changes have been made to the midfield. Kenya international – Seje Owade starts at inside centre. Ishmael Mokaya starts at outside centre. They replace Robert Aringo & George Okowa respectively. While Aringo will not be involved in rugby this weekend, Okowa is available to start off the bench. On the wings: Derrick Mayar replaces Ian Minjire on the left wing. Quinto Ongo maintains his right wing position. A notable inclusion in the reserves is youngster – Joshua Matasi who has grown to become a solid component of the Kenya Under 20 front row.

The last time Resolution Impala Saracens played Strathmore Leos was on 14th January 2017, Impala won 29-14. On the Kenya Cup standings, Resolution Impala Saracens stand 4th with 34 points.
