Swaras Rugby continued their impressive run posting a club record 122-0 score against debutants NYS. Man of the Match, Michael Obondi had already scored a hat trick of tries in the first quarter. The number 8 scored two of the tries from the tail of the scrum through pushover. Obondi would score another through support play before setting up another try shortly.
“Obviously NYS was shell shocked being their first day in the league. That, of course, doesn’t take away the fact that Swara played with purpose throughout the natch. Even when the score had run away, they kept their focus on their attacking and defending shape,” says Director of Rugby, Fred Ollows.
“We are nonetheless very proud that NYS took the step. We look forward to more of their people participating. In the rugby spirit we later went together to Kenyatta University to watch the Impala senior match versus Blak Blad”
Swaras are due to play Brumbies away, next Saturday 10th February 2018
