Tenacious Resolution Impala Saracens beat Mwamba 40-33
IMPALA VS MWAMBA SELECT

Mohammed Omollo booted over penalty at the 5th minute, sinalling Impala’s early interest in the match. Mwamba scrum-half George Mutuku would have drawn proceedings to level but his attempt at cleaving the posts flew wide. Collins Injera’s hard hit on an approaching Seje Owade disoriented Impala defence &  Mwamba 8th man – Edwin Machanje would have it easy scoring at the 12th minute as the Gazelles worried over Owade’s health. Mutuku converted to send Mwamba leading 7-3.  Owade was stretchered off the field concussed. David Dinda replaced him. A nicely taken penalty by Mohammed Omollo at the 20th minute would cut Impala’s trail to only 1 point.

A wonderful exchange of swift passes within the Impala backline would render the Mwamba defence helpless. Samson Onsomu’s angle run and subsequent shred of the visitors defence sent a section of Impala Club into frenzy at the 25th minute!  Mohammed Omollo’s sure boot converted. Impala 13-7 Mwamba.

Omollo would later on collect from a courageous run by Leon Adongo to score try at the 37th minute. He failed at converting his own. Mwamba would in the 40th minute find themselves surprised after Collins Injera failed to pocket fullback – Robin Kiplang’at’s deep kick. The subsequent bounce favored the fullback who offloaded to Leon Adongo. Leon slid into the try box dragging Lavin Asego & Injera with him. Omollo converted to close the half with Impala leading 25-7.

Derrick Mayar’s spirited run to making contact with the loose ball in Mwamba try box would light up a section of the Impala club. Omollo’s conversion ensured a 32-7 Impala lead at the 43rd minute. However, indisciplinary hail would begin pelting Impala. Referee – Constant Cap flashed the yellow card at flanker Joel Omer in the 53rd minute. He would go ahead to show Tyson Okoth yellow for kicking the ball from ruck in the 57th minute. Mwamba took advantage of the 15 vs 13 set up and scored through Pablo Machanje at the 59th. Mutuku converted to bring scores to Mwamba 14-32 Impala. Prop – Anthony Orege would also make it to Constant Cap’s naughty list. Impala down to 12 men. 15 vs 12 and Collins Injera would be seen touching down at the flag. Mutuku failed to convert. Injera would soon after scorch more than 40 metres to dotting under the posts at the 66th. Mutuku converted, sending scores to Mwamba 26-36 Impala. Mohammed Omollo booted over penalty at the 69th minute, slightly stretching the scores to Impala 35-26 Mwamba. Mwamba’s Billy Odhiambo’s hit on centre David Dinda to scoring a converted try in the 75th minute  could have brought the visitors closer to winning the duel, but Impala prop – Stephen Juma scored an unconverted one at the 78th minute. With Impala leading 40-33, Mwamba fans would try sing their team to play catch up with the Sarries, but their centre – Marcus Mureithi had other plans at the 80th. He spilt the ball within kill zone
