Here is something about our Academy graduate and second center BILL OMONDI Bill Okoyo Omondi is one of our youngest players in the Kenya Cup team seeing as he is eyeing his 20th birthday this April (23rd). Bill started playing rugby back in 2010 after watching his big brother (Brian Omondi- Plays in Kenya A) play this sport. He started playing for Impala in 2013 after finishing his form four exams from Ofafa Jericho (He was among the players who won the 2013 floodlit tournament, High School category) and joined the Impala Academy which is now Standard Chartered Impala Saracens during the 2013/2014 season Bill then joined the Kenya Cup side (Resolution Insurance Sponsored) during the start of the 2014/2015 season and has maintained his position as a centre since high school to date. Last year he got to represent the country in the Under 19 Olympics that was held in China which happens to be one of his proudest moments as well as playing alongside his brother during the Blazing sevens tournament held in Nakuru in 2015. After his experience during the Olympics Bill hopes to one day represent the country in either sevens or fifteens. He wants to help his team Resolution Impala Saracens win Kenya Cup when the 2015/2016 season ends. Be sure to catch him dishing out some serious hand offs whenever the Resolution Impala Saracens are on the pitch as Kenya Cup continues.
